Holidays
Teachers normally get 12 weeks 'holidays' a year - but the two week breaks in between terms are not really holidays as you will generally be marking or preparing for lessons.
leave
According to the human resource staff of South Australia teachers are entitled to 10 paid sick says a year.
flexible hours
Being a teacher there are no flexible hours because students go to school from 8.45-3.30 so there has to be a teacher present. Teachers can not just say that they will work 3 hours more on a Monday so they don't have to for three hours on a Wednesday morning because it would be unfair on all of the relief teachers.
